If you have one day and it is a SUNDAY?

Hi there -

Thank you for your site. We are traveling this weekend to Florence. Planned to be in Florence for one day Sunday, and the Monday in Tuscany as most of our stay will be in Amalfi. I am not needing to spend hours in museums and such. What is the best area to be and or get our fill or Florence on a Sunday. Are most things closed?
And where in Tuscany is easiest and most enjoyable from florence? Thank YOU!

Hello Lori,

Florence is small so I definitely say that for one day you must just stay in the downtown central area and spend the day exploring on foot. Many - most - places will be open.

About Tuscany, if you mean the countryside then the Chianti area or Greve area are very nice. Greve is closer to Florence.
Hope this helps!
