What to do in Florence over Christmas 2014

We will be in Florence from 22/12/14 to 26/12/14 to celebrate my special Christmas birthday. What, if anything, will be open & what are the "must do" things? Any help appreciated.

Have you seen our 'Things To Do in Florence in December' page? That will give you some ideas. About things being open, most everything will be open except for on the actual day of Christmas.
In my opinion the two 'must do' things are:
- seeing Michelangelo's David at the Accademia Gallery
- climbing up the Cupola
- also a city walking tour will give you a great overview of Florence
